About Baldonnel

Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel (ICAO : EIME) is a military airport located 16km south west of Dublin City.

The airfield dates back to 1917 when it was established as a base by the Royal Flying Corps (RFC). Following the war of independence it was taken on charge by the Irish Air Corps and is their home base to this day.

It also served as Dublin's original airport and Aer Lingus operated their first ever commercial service in May 1936 from there to Bristol using a DH.84 Dragon.

This log is compiled from my own observations and is an effort to record visiting aircraft at Baldonnel. Bearing in mind the security nature of military operations, details will only be posted after the fact.
